Corellia was the capital planet of the Corellian system, which included Selonia, Drall, Tralus, and Talus. Corellia, known as the "Elder Brother," served as the administrative center for its entire sector. A terrestrial world, Corellia possessed a breathable atmosphere, a temperate climate, standard gravity, and a moderate hydrosphere.
A pop, a series of sparks, and then a bright white flash came screaming out of hyperspace. About halfway to Naboo, one single line of text burst through on Adi's personal comlink....from one Mike Frantz. The old man was alive....luckily enough...and here on Corellia somewhere. At least, the last known transmission location was here.
Kicking back the throttle, Matango checked for any kind of signal coming from ground control, and found nothing. Support infrastructure was down. He would have to do it the old fashioned way, then. Reaching out with the force, Adi began to search for his old friend. It took some time, but, there was a tiny glimmer of energy coming up from the planet. Angling the ship in that direction, the former Jedi made his way down planetside.
A small light freighter lifts off from the planet's surface, and heads directly for the nearest hyperspace lane. With a streak, and a flash, it vanishes from view, bound for Naboo.
Above the planet of Corellia, two dozen dropships and 4 dozen starfighters exited hyperspace. Dispatched from the Impellor, it was their responsibility to wipe the filth that resides in the shattered remnants of Corellia from the face of the galaxy. The ships began streaming towards Coronet City, intent on starting their destructive rampage from there. The elite, power-armor wearing shock troopers on board were completely silent, observing Enclave protocol to not speak unless mission critical. The sun glinted off their jet black suits of steel, while the blue Tesla coils on them crackled blue with electricity. Most of them carried LAERs, though a number of them carried rotary cannons, and one carried a flamethrower. All were armed with high explosive sonic grenades, and were ready to exterminate the populace.
Once the dropship landed I pressed the button to open the LAAT doors, and we were all greeted by Republic troops in HAZMAT suits and HAZMAT/Medical droids. Everyone had been quiet most of the trip, not much to say I guess. We were instructed by the HAZMAT team to disembark the LAAT one by one, strip down to undergarments walk through the DECON shower chamber.
“Your clothes will be sent to the medical facility to be thoroughly decontaminated and returned if desired. Until then we will provide you with clothes.” A Lieutenant instructed as we disembarked one by one “All non-clothing items requiring decontamination must be placed in those bins over there.” She pointed to a large bin labeled ‘DECON’, “Do not worry Jedi, you may accompany your lightsabers if you desire. The utmost care will be used when handling them.” She stated, seeing the two Jedi disembark the LAAT.
“The deceased will be sent straight to the Medical Lab for quarantine.” Instructed another medical staff waving a hand toward the hoverbed that had accompanied us on our trip off world. Two medical personnel immediately took hold of the bed and began walking away with it toward the Medical Facility.
I had just finished putting on a pair of boots I had found that finally fit when the last soldier disembarked and proceeded through the DECON Chamber. I walked over to the Lt. in charge and saluted, “Ma’am, Corporal Dogma. The Cerean over there has important information. I believe he will need to talk to the Admiral as soon as possible.”
“Very well corporal.” She said, “When he is ready he may see the Admiral.”
"Thank-you Ma'am." I said as i saluted again, did an about-face, and relayed the message to the Jedi in question.
The Lt. spoke again, "To those who need food, the dining facility is always open, to those who need sleep, there is an empty area in the barracks. If you don't know the way, do not be afraid to ask any staff onboard."
If we're being honest, the trip from the now totally-incinerated Jedi Academy was a daze to Rai. He hit his head pretty hard and he couldn't even remember how he got on board the LAAT. Apparently, he had underestimated a jump from the ground and only made it because Dogma caught him in midair while the building was collapsing all around them like some badass scene from a secret agent movie.
Rai wasn't entirely sure he bought the story, but everyone on board seemed to corroborate it.
Now, he exited the LAAT and began to strip down, being informed that they were to be decontaminated before being granted access to the Redemption. He gingerly pulled off his scrub light blue scrub top over his head and threw it into the nearby container, shortly followed by his boots, scrub trousers. his two lightsaber hilts and his forearm bracer shield that had been a gift from Mike upon Rai's elevation to Jedi Knight. Now, he clad himself in a somewhat too small orange pilot's jumpsuit. What? He couldn't find any clothing that fit his behemoth 7 foot 2 stature, give him a break.
"You look like a dork."
"Oh shut up."
Having to fight through the fog of his concussion, Rai was quickly escorted to the Redemption's bridge where he met with the Admiral. Ahead of him stood an older human male, clad in a pristine Navy uniform. Not a hair was out a place and it served as a strong contrast to Rai's disheveled, bloody and ill-fitting look. "Greetings, Admiral." He approached him and stopped short, giving him a slight bow as was customary of Jedi greeting. "My name is Knight Rai Darkwater and I give you my thanks for your troopers' commendable skill and bravery in extracting me from the Jedi academy. I have recently gained insight and have found answers that will help formulate a cure to this galactic plague and am in need of the necessary medical expertise and equipment to engineer an antivirus." He paused as he rubbed his forehead with his right hand, trying to ease away the incessant headache. "Might I burden you and your crew for a trip to the Red Dawn Medical Center on Honoghr?"
Admiral Larkin had traversed the entire galaxy in his time as the Admirable of the Redemption but he had never seen a humanoid creature that stood so tall. He had heard that Wookies, Cereans and Kaminoans were tall in stature, but he had never seen one up close. Masking the awe from his slightly wrinkled face Larkin knew that if the Jedi knew how to stop this galactic plague then the Republic Senate would want to know right away, “Knight Darkwater, it would be my honor to lend the Redemption’s service to getting you to Honoghr. On a normal occasion I would have to route my movement request through the correct lines of communication, but these are no ordinary times.” Larkin turned away from the knight, “Captain Ike, get ahold of the Senate Bozwell and see if we can get as many scientists and medical staff to Honoghr as soon as possible. If he has any questions let me know Navigator, set a course for the planet Honoghr. Prepare to jump to Lightspeed, we leave at once.”
